Tufts-Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health (CEVR) is now accepting submissions for the 5th annual Cost-Effectiveness Analysis (CEA) Paper of the Year Award
Health care policy makers are increasingly seeking evidence on the value of health care to inform clinical guidelines and reimbursement decisions. At CEVR, we have seen a substantial rise in cost-effectiveness research being produced to meet this need. This award will highlight this important research and promote findings to a broad audience.
Criteria
We will consider any original, applied CEA in the fields of health and medicine published in 2022 that reports results in terms of incremental cost per QALY gained or cost per DALY averted. We will judge articles based on:
- Timeliness and importance
- Methodological quality
- Potential influence on policy or clinical decision making
Editorials, commentaries, letters, point/counter-points, scientific reports, or economic analyses reporting endpoints other than cost per QALY or cost per DALY will not be considered.
Application Format and Submission
Anyone – including the authors themselves or any institution, can nominate a paper. To submit an article, please complete the online submission form by January 31, 2023. If you have any questions, please email cea@tuftsmedicalcenter.org.
Selection Process
CEVR faculty and staff will select three finalists from among these submissions, and our CEA Registry Scientific Advisory Board will select the winner. The first author of the winning paper will receive an award of $1,000.
