BOSTON, May 29, 2025 – ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research and the Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health (CEVR) at Tufts Medical Center announced today that members who are students or researchers in government or academic institutions from low- to middle-income countries (LMICs) will receive free, premium access to CEVR’s CEA Registry as a new membership benefit.
The Tufts-CEVR CEA Registry (https://cear.tuftsmedicalcenter.org/) is a comprehensive database of more than 14,000 peer-reviewed cost-effectiveness analyses that quantify health benefits in terms of quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) or disability-adjusted life years (DALYs). For each article, the Registry contains data on more than 50 variables related to the study’s methodology, CE ratios, and utility weights. Premium subscribers can download data sets, use advanced search features, filters, and data visualization tools, and more.
“This partnership underscores our shared commitment to improving health outcomes worldwide by providing the tools necessary for rigorous, data-driven decision-making,” said ISPOR CEO and Executive Director Rob Abbott. “With this new benefit, we are helping to cultivate the next generation of researchers and policymakers. This partnership is a significant step toward promoting evidence-based health decision-making, and we are excited to see the positive impact it will have on health systems worldwide.”
“We’re thrilled to provide premium access to our CEA Registry for ISPOR’s student and LMIC researcher members,” said CEVR Director Peter Neumann, ScD. “For years, the Registry has been an invaluable tool for researchers to study the health and economic impacts of medical interventions. We are excited to see how students use it to accelerate their research careers and how ISPOR’s LMIC members use it to foster population health improvements in their countries.”
The CEA Registry has been the source of data for hundreds of peer-reviewed papers and cited in analyses performed by the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, the Institute of Medicine, the Medicare Payment Assessment Commission, and health technology assessment organizations around the world. The CEA Registry is also listed on the National Library of Medicine's website as an important health economics resource.
