2024 Tufts-CEVR Cost-Effectiveness Analysis Paper of the Year
The Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health (CEVR) at Tufts Medical Center is thrilled to announce two award opportunities recognizing outstanding contributions in the field of cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA). Each award carries a prize of $500 and will be granted to the first author of a paper demonstrating excellence in advancing CEA research and its practical application.
1. Best Cost-Effectiveness Analysis Published in 2024
This award honors the most impactful CEA publication from 2024. Eligible papers should report results in terms of incremental cost per QALY gained or cost per DALY averted and provide significant contributions to the field, including innovative methods, new findings, or insights that can help improve healthcare decision-making.
2. Best Application of the CEA Registry
This award recognizes novel use of the Cost-Effectiveness Analysis Registry. We seek submissions demonstrating creative or effective applications of the Registry's data and/or literature to address key questions in healthcare policy, clinical practice, or research. Projects that showcase the Registry's utility in advancing evidence-based healthcare are encouraged.
Criteria
Eligible papers must have been published in 2024. We will judge articles based on:
- Timeliness and importance
- Rigor and methodological quality
- Potential influence on health policy, clinical decision making, or research methods
Application Format and Submission
Anyone – including the authors themselves or any institution, can nominate a paper. To submit an article, please complete the online submission form by January 31, 2025. If you have any questions, please email cea@tuftsmedicalcenter.org.
Selection Process
CEVR faculty and staff will select three finalists among each award category, and our CEA Registry Scientific Advisory Board will select the winner. The first author of each winning paper will receive an award of $500.
