CEVR Welcomes 2020 Summer Fellows

Date: June 22, 2020

CEVR is thrilled to announce the 2020 cohort of Tufts-CEVR Summer fellows. This year, six well-rounded and talented students have been invited to join our center for an 8-week intensive fellowship. These individuals hail from preeminent graduate programs around the country with a focus on public health, health services research, and health policy. This year’s cohort will draw upon their impressive academic and professional experiences to read for CEVR’s CEA Registry and conduct original research of their own.

To get to know the fellows better, we asked them about their research interests, career aspirations, favorite pastimes, and unique experiences. We have shared some of their responses below.

Q: What’s the first thing you plan to do when you get out of quarantine?

A: A day trip to the beach or the mountains!! I went to college in North Carolina, Wake Forest University. There is a really small forest connected to the back of our campus and we are also only 30 minutes' drive away from Pilot Mountains to go hiking. I have always been excited to come to Boston for graduate school and being able to live in the city. However, this quarantine just made me miss nature a little bit extra.

This program is sure to help me broaden my educational prospects and enable me to understand, relate and develop all the essential skills for conducting decision analysis studies in the economic evaluation of Heath technologies and services. My professional intention is to pursue PhD.
